First Trip to the Island

After today's doctor appt. for the 2 year checkup (3 feet tall, 28 pounds, and supposedly still a small head, but we don't think so) we took Cullen to Kings Island for the very first time. We were a little unsure as to how he would take it or if we put him on something he would immediately want back off if we weren't there, but we were shocked. He LOVED every minute of it. I don't remember what half the names are on these rides being they have changed since I rode them when I was a kid......which was only a few years back...HA.......and since we worked there 10 years ago.

The first thing we did was ride Scooby Doo.. it has a gun for him to shoot.

Then we rode the "Sport-a-copters", but I didn't get any good pics from that, then onto the Carousel.

Nice Horsey.

Then we rode the train. Cullen really enjoyed the train. Mommy just happened to know one of the engineers (fellow Kiwanian) and so we got a few photo ops on the Engine. Thanks Marvin.

Then we found the little train to ride.....La adventura de azul or something like that....???

and then onto the Thornberrys something or other.... AKA the little log flume. Cullen TECHNICALLY wasn't tall enough to ride, even though we were just at the dr. and they said he was 36 inches, apparently KI uses another form of measurement because he was about 3-4 inches shy.... We got a little wet.

Now only in the last week of full operations, would you be able to WALK ON to the newest coaster at the park... So... me and Scott took turns to go ride Diamondback. Which was good. Noone got an instant headache from it and neither of us saw the funnel cake that we had just eaten. We are slightly aging and Coasters seem to not treat us the same way they used to. (Scott is in the front of the 4th car if you can't tell)

Couldn't pass up the photo op.

Look Mom, cars with steering wheels.

Listen closely for the "Hi mommy & Hi Daddy" as he comes around

Had to do this twice too....

Up to the top of the Eiffel Tower.... which I STILL HATE. I can't look over the edge anymore. But Cullen can... He made me very nervous.

My absolute FAVORITE. I remember riding this when I was a kid, and here is Cullen. We thought for sure he would try to slip out of the seat belt and climb out, but nope, he stayed seated and loved it... enjoy the video!
We also had to ride it twice....
